First impressions count
When we think of an entrance hall its often a place used for hanging coats, storing mail, or unwanted junk from your living space. It very rarely takes on its own thought out design yet its a place that is used the most in our everyday lives. Think of this space as the first point of contact between you and your guest and set the tone for the rest of your home. Successful schemes will be practical and delightful, it will be bright and and maintain its integrity. Here are a few that grabbed my attention.
Make it unique from the outside with a freshly painted bright coloured front door. Bring the inside out and create an outdoor space that oozes comfort and charm. This cottage feel is brilliant, I wish I could see inside.
A small entrance hall with high ceilings is all you need to create an amazing space. Its fun and quirky paying attention to detail (by simply home decorating).
Why not go bold with stone tiles and a large light pendant along with a simple wooden side table to complete the look. I think this is elegant yet daring with a nice mix of materials.
The dark elements against the white walls creates a natural Scandinavian feel, its stylish current and adds depth to the space. This most certainty sets the tone for the rest of the space. I’m intrigued to see more
This entrance is a breath of fresh air, its bright and inviting. Everything balances seamlessly on this bold but elegant floor. The understatement shouts less is more!
